Trees for the Future, a UN World Restoration Flagship program, currently works with thousands of farming families across five countries in sub-Saharan Africa. TREES trains farmers in agroforestry and sustainable land use – so that they can grow vibrant regional economies, thriving food systems, and a healthier planet.

Over the past year, Kristof Nordin from Never Ending Food, worked closely with the Trees for the Future team to revise, update, and expand their existing Forest Garden Technical Manual. With support from the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration through UNEP and FAO, this newly revised version of the manual was recently released and is freely available for NGOs, policymakers, academics, and extension services working to advance food security, ecosystem restoration, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
