Kusewera is a school and community centre which is located near Never Ending Food. In 2019, two interns from Never Ending Food, Jacob Jumpha and Kondwani M’dale, conducted a site assessment for the school. This was part of their final project for the completion of their Permaculture Design Course.
The interns did a full mapping of the school grounds and then met with many of the staff members to see what the goals for the site included. They used this feedback to create designs for the school, which were then presented to the staff members. Each of them had unique design ideas, and hopefully this has provided the school with a multitude of great Permaculture ideas that can be implemented over time.
The results of their findings and Permaculture Designs were compiled into a report which may be found below:
